shaka's shorts OS and ssn say he is about to join. Available on Jan 4th so on the bench for newcastle game?

Why the 4th? Doesn't the transfer window start on the 1st?

The first is a bank holiday so there's no one working to complete the registration.

What a shit window. You can't sign anyone for the first three days of it!

Can you not file the paperwork in advance so it's rubber stamped for the 1st? If not, that is idiocy.

Quote from OS:

"Under the conditions of the international transfer window, he would be available from 4th January onwards."

So seemingly it is "international" rules which are dictating his availability date.

Noel Hunt seems to rate him - "Seen the new guy before I left he looked good from what I saw hopefully get a few goals!! "

Only if he keeps the ball from kick-off and doesn't pass to anyone else, or get tackled by the oppo.

Sack the scouts because they didn't Wiki a player before recommending him!

Strikers are judged on goals scored, correct? We may as well try and re-sign Sonko from Stoke on loan as he's got the same number of goals scored if not higher (cba to check).

He's had injuries, loss of form etc.

I'll judge him having watched him thank you very much.

What was Zamora's record before this season?

Yes, his last three years have seen a poor return. Poor return in last three years does not equal shit at Reading though.

If it was that easy the scouts wouldn't go to games, they'd just check Wikipedia for the topscoring player in the league or two below us and less impressive European Leagues and recommend them.

Other than, you know, watching players and assessing their qualities.

Anyone who thinks this dude will save us are amazingly deluded. 6 goals in 3 years and can't get in some ahite Danish team. Exciting times.

Let's be honest, a decent club would have come in for him. Not w@nk like Reading.

Seeing as our chief scout is too busy trying to stage a late entry for the BAFTAs by acting as a manager and has seemingly got the tactical assessment of our 2 previous opponents wrong; I'm not holding out much hope.

More than happy to eat humble pie and indeed would be ecstatic for him to prove me wrong.

Why do you even try to enter into any sort of reasoned debate with Flash?

Feel sorry for the guy. He is coming into a poor team and there is massive pressure from the fans to turn our season around. Not so much because of expectation and reputation, but he is one of our last hopes.

Cos I can. And he's never, to my memory, been rude or pompous to me if he replies.

Anyways, I agree that this poor kid is going to have so much expectation heaped upon him by us all that if he doesn't score every game and/or win the games for us, we'll all say he's rubbish.

Having all but signed the papers to finalise his loan until the end of the season from Danish Superliga outfit Esbjerg, Thorvaldsson, cousin of club-captain Ivar Ingimarsson, is now raring to go.

wtf did anyone know he was ingi's cousin
