The table is looking a lot sweeter now. If we win our 2 games in hand, which we have against a few teams above, we will be pushing for the playoffs. 8)

with 2 games in hand over most teams we may be right there for the play-offs! If Cardiff go into administration (being deducted 10 points) and we actually converted those games into 6 points, as the table stands we would be 7th! equal with Blackpool on points but with a worse goal average...

Now, chickens and counting spring to mind. We can but hope (and have a little bet...)

Let's get a few more wins under our belt, but we are on a fantastic run. Long may it continue!

Any reports of trouble after the game?

Considering this: http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2045 ... epair_bill

Besides that, well done today boys, nothing saying we can't get a play-off place this year.

Win our game in hand and we're only 5 points from 6th place

HOWEVER - lose it and we're only 6 points above the drop zone

KC Royal
LUX KC Royal, are you the bloke I met in Santa Barbara last summer?

If you are not, this may seem an odd question, sorry.

Can't have been me as i've never been to America before!

What made you think it was me?

I met a Reading fan from Kent (with his wife). Said he posts on here.

A good and what appears to be a comfortable win. League table looks a lot healthier, but I think PO talk is premature to say the least. We are going to have a hiccup between now and the season, but hopefully we will be safe by then.

As for Sig, the lad is obviously destined for higher and better things, but I think he needs another year at this level with us to really blossom. Hopefully, he may yet see the Prem as a Royal.

Good first half, didn't convert our chances second half. Tabb was MOTM for me - didn't stop running and tackling all game.

Can't even single out one player that I thought had a bad game, but I did think Gunnar was looking very tired and maybe should have been subbed with 15/20 mins to go.

I don't know why people are getting excited about the Play Offs though, if we did the unexpected and actually won, who the hell would we have for our team next season - it's going to be difficult enough for us next year in the Championship - we're losing the backbone of our team, due to loans, I suspect Gunnar, Ingi, Matejovsky - at least - will be off and we have little to no money to spend on replacing the outgoing players. Don't mean to p!ss on your bonfire, but we've got to be a bit realistic!!

Yea idiots, lets pray we lose most of our last games and scrape to safety on goal difference.

I didn't say that at all - I'm just saying that next season is going to be another difficult one and wishing ourselves through the play offs is very short sighted.

Rather pessimistic reasoning though, RL. If we were to go up (highly unlikely as it is), we'd be doing so on the back of several profit making seasons, and with another three years of good income guaranteed for the future. In those circumstances, we would doubtless make some investment in the team, in addition to potentially signing the likes of Bertrand and Zurab, keeping Gylfi and so on. I wouldn't expect us to spend any more than we did last time, and so we'd be duking it out with the Wolves, Wigans, and WBA's, but it wouldn't necessarily be a disaster.

Anyway, who wouldn't fancy the chances of a team who got promoted after being five points adrift of safety in 23rd place on January 29th?
