tulip I still believe it's a done deal. Stop panicking!

Dutch wiki says he is a Reading player. http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royston_Drenthe

Must be true if it's on Wikipedia. It's not as if that can be edited by any person at any time in a matter of seconds...

Royal Lady I bet LOADS of people have renewed their STs cos they thought Drenthe was coming here. Clever move by the club!

I guess it depends on how many retarded STHs we had last year.

2 world wars, 1 world cup He had the medical yesterday but something concerning came up which is causing a delay in negotiations.

Sources very close to the club tell me it was discovered on testing that he is only actually 5'7". No self respecting club should pay adult wages for someone who is child size at best (except if its messi). They are negotiating hard with a child salary but are throwing in scalextrix, PSPs and snickers bars. Next step I believe will be a Ben 10 t shirt.

Apparently Drenthe is getting irritated with the slow progress of the talks.

I completely agree though. We don't want a short arse here.

Apparently he keeps asking "are we there yet?"

Don't know what Anton is playing at. He should be given what he wants. Offer him a kinder egg, a yoyo and a premier league sticker book, and I guarantee he will sign. Hell.. if we really want to go crazy on wages, throw in a Beano comic.

True but every report in the Dutch media said he had already signed (days ago).

They are probably waiting on some minor technicalities. Maybe something outstanding from a previous contract, who knows.

The players agent has stated that a couple of small things need to be sorted out before they make everything official but that the move will happen. So be patient everyone.

What would you imagine a cock sounds like? I think it would whistle.

'Exit Music (For a Film)' when down
'Grease Lightening' when up.

Not much point in talent if he decides to give himself the week off whenever he feels like it or has a nervous breakdown when the crowd boo him.

Can't say I'm that excited.

It would be good if this could be finalised in the break between innings.
