Royal Rother :D

Didn't they all look absolutely bloody delighted at the final whistle?!

(And I don't think that was because they could head straight for the airport.)

They were joining in the singing during the game as well. We could be in for some fun....

Unless my mind is playing tricks on me I thought Madejski said there were 40,000 Thais who live in Reading. That sounded a bit  to me but if that is true we should be selling the ground out every week.

They'd have to care about football, would Thai owners be a draw for them?

Bearing in mind the town's population is somewhere near the 160k mark, I'd say lay off the Shrooms fella.

Quick Wiki check suggests 40k is a reasonable estimate of the number of Thai born residents of the UK as a whole.
We'd have noticed if 10% of the population of the area where Thai.

Yellowcoat In real life he thinks of himself as a great businessman but I suspect he comes across as a bigot and a bully to both his family and employees. Time he took a step back and took a long hard look at himself.

Indeed. It would be fantastic though if the club reached out to the local Thai community, and as I've said before, try and encourage the Indian and Pakistani community to get involved with the football club - that's a very large % of our local population. You don't see many at games, although last season we did spot a couple of families which was good to see. I just wonder if there's a stigma around from the 80's where football had a nasty unwelcoming side towards race, which is certainly no longer the case. Tap into those markets and there could well be a few extra thousand fans straight away.

windermere_royal Are we there yet?

Judging by the number of Thais in the directors box on Saturday the consortium now numbers several hundred, the Football League have had to recruit more assessors and the FPP test is scheduled to complete sometime after the Qatar World Cup.

You only have to be assessed if you own more than 20% of the club.... I imagine we might end up with a large number of Thai's owning 1%.

First thing on the agenda will be stadium expansion, well expanding the board room that is to fit them all in.

Not sure if we've seen this name. But sounds like Omar Hassanieh owns 10%.
