Gordons Cumming a bit of balance from the same site.

I don't see what Reading have done to deserve such opprobrium. If they're not convinced a player they're looking to sign is fit then they shouldn't sign him. You wouldn't buy a car just because the seller says it drives fine: you'd want to make sure it's fine for yourself.

You can sum up how rubbish it is spending lots of money on a player who isn't fit in two words:

Emile Mpenza.

Just like HNA!!

Also ALOL @ someone on the RFC facebook page who said they'd already purchased BWP on the back of their shirt, might be a wind up. But still

I didn't buy a Wright-Phillips shirt. I prefer to look fit.

Ok, so lets stop this nonsense and open a bid for Charlie Austin.

Bandini
paultheroyal Chuffed to bits that I called this one right.

Austin was always on the cards but with one million to spend and leigerwood going to cost us 700k, we had to compromise on a striker and considering he is the top scorer in league one this is a great bit of business.

People are moaning about height, but let's be honest, Long is brilliant in the air when played up to him so those extra inches are not needed.

I've never actually come across anyone who said "Chuffed to bits". I thought that it was pretty much confined to Roy of the Rovers strips.

I knew a bloke who was chuffed to bits....

This amuses me given we signed Chris Armstrong not that long ago and the endless list of players like Convey, Kitson, Little, N Hunt and so on where we seem to have brought them back too early or failed to properly evaluate their injury problems in the past.

Can we try and sign a proper striker now please McDermott/Madejski?

Personally, I never thought John Fearn was 'all that' to be honest. Most of the problems you mention were under his tutelage. Just my 2 cents...

This is true, quite the coincidence when you look at Chelsea's injuries since he went there.

floyd__streete I would like to interject here to say get yer hand in your pocket Madejski, but sadly he already has.....only to find out that BWP has half-inched his wallet.

That is what happens if you leave your man-bag in the cloakroom.

How ironic! This must have been the most open RFC have ever been pre concluding a transfer deal and then this happens!

Someone could come up with a conspiracy theory for this one!!

Great idea but the chairman hasn't got the balls to sanction it!

(he got a good offer on ebay for the balls and it all helps the club finances!)

Yep, perhaps Madejski saw how Spurs are going to cash in on Beckham merchandise and decided to try the same in a budget conscious style!

I don't think the physio does all that much during a full on medical, especially if it's looking into the details of serious internal wear and tear as this one appears.

Fearn was also the physio in charge through times under Pardew and Coppell when we hardly suffered any injuries whatsoever, although I've said on here many times how I think Niall Clark was a massive part of that record even long after he'd left us.

Yeah its not as if we got 7 million for sigurdsson....

We said at the time we wouldn't moan if some of that was reinvested into the team, but as usual none was and the club as well as the RTG's have started coming up with excuses about why we aren't able too. We said prior to the sig signing we needed to spend on 1/2 additions and build around him, now we get a windfall of 7 million and STILL not try and sign anyone? Truly sickening to be honest, we all thought we'd be making some worthwhile signings this transfer window on PROVEN players and here we are again, deja vu same old money excuses. Just how many players are we going to have to sell before we can buy a fvcking proven player for a fraction of the price? At this rate we'll be selling players for 3/4million in 2020 and we'll still be using wages from coppells premiership regime as the excuse.

" balancing the books boys, making up for future losses" bla bla bla.

Seriously, i'm getting annoyed, sign some fvcking players and back your manager who you appointed. Stop feeding him peanuts.
