Well that was a brilliant waste of 90 minutes - Doyle was our only effective player. :(

Edit:

And Hunty.

Does watching these feeds mean you need a TV licence for the premises?

Anyone help fix a problem with SopCast?

Used it fine for about six months. Then did a full Windows reinstall.

Now, when I click a channel, I get the message:

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested file."

Any ideas? Someone told me it was a codec issue, but didn't specify where and how I get said codec. (I don't even known what one is.)
Any help gratefully received.

Sounds more like your fire wall is blocking sopcast. Also makesure you are using the latest version of windows media player http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology=

Thanks for that.

I’ve checked and It seems I’m already running the latest WMP, and I haven’t got the firewall switched on.

In fact, the only thing I know for sure I’m doing differently from pre-reinstall is that I’m not running service pack II, which always crashes the video driver.

Any other suggestions?
