Can anyone say the new owners have done anything positive for the club since they arrived ?and please dont say its too early, as they have had 4 months to make an impact.

Cleared our debts and allowed us to sign Murray, Cox & Norwood. You know, those players who are having fairly big impacts on the pitch for us (3 assists and 7 out of our 14 league goals between them). And helped sign Mackie*.

replaced by Mackie and Chalobah, also signings they financed. Apart from a certain starting naivity I don't see anything wrong with what the owners have done.

Norwood's set pieces have been poor all season, not just since January.

Unless I have missed something, have these l8est set of jokers issued any sort of mission st8ment as to their aims and ambitions for the club and who the hell they actually are, other than a Thai Hyacinth Bucket coming out and saying that they bought the club because Reading is such a lovely town, an alarming statement in itself.

Well they certainly appear to have backed Clarke somewhat this summer.

With 11 new players, at most only one or two of which are questionable signings at this time I don't you can say anything other than well done to the owners and everyone involved at the club on what is probably our best ever transfer window.

We got the players we needed in the positions we needed to, whilst still being pretty sensible with the money. Yes, we've spent more than we would normally, but it was absolutely necassary, and when you look at some of the others teams around us, it seems we are still doing it the Reading way.

Nothing wrong with that as long as we have a capable squad, which I now feel we do. Clarke has his own team now, and a new era is truly on the horizon.

Sir John has kept his word and passed ownership to the right people it would appear. All the behind the scenes changes have been conducted in a very professional manner. Taken some months to achieve. But that's the nature of the people I suspect. They see this as a very long term investment while also respecting the part that RFC plays in the local community. Been a long time since there's been such a buzz.

Very interesting read. Easy of course to point the finger at the asset stripping Thais but the reality, as pointed out earlier in the piece, is that if they hadn't stepped in we would have been at the mercy of VIBRAC and God knows what that could have meant. As it stands we seem to be on a healthy footing with the Dai's albeit owing them a fair chunk of money. All comes down to getting promotion to the premier league and the land of billions I guess. If we don't make it in the next few seasons we could well be in trouble, or, we might not be

For us it was a case of extracting ourselves from the TSI shit. They were the best option at a time when any option was better than no option.

The Chinese seem better than the Thais who were clearly better than TSI.

Not sure the Thais would be the best fit for Oxford. Learn from Madejski's mistakes, do due diligence and don't jump at the first person to wave a wad of cash at you.
