That's good news. Unfortunately I think Rhiannon Stewart still needs a bit more development and was guilty of a bad mistake in the last game against Brighton, dwelling far too long on a back pass and having her eventual attempted clearance blocked by the goal scorer who was left with an easy tap in.

The women's team seem to like doing this whole, go behind and turn it around thing.

Tough run in but form is everything. Three points off Europe with a game in hand.

What a season....next season we will be the only side not funded by a premier league set up with Liverpool coming up and Birmingham looking down.

I really hope the ladies' funding is not reliant on the men being 2nd tier

Me too. If it becomes an issue, I wonder whether the folk at SCL would be in a position to step in and help out the women's side. Would be both a tragedy and a travesty if Reading FC Women disappeared from the top levels of the British Women's game.

Thought it showed today how much we have missed Rachel Rowe- changed the game when she came on.

I'm also very pleased to see the return of Rowe, who certainly adds some vigour.

In an interview last week, Chambers was quoted as saying it was a full-strength side. Now in addition to Rowe, there were Cooper and Peplow on the bench, but there was no Chaplen. Is she still a Reading player? She is in the squad on the club website, but so is Jeon.

Also, I have a feeling that some other players have quietly disappeared. Wasn't there one on maternity leave?

Chaplen was on crutches 'at Brighton last Sunday and the other one out is Emma Mitchell.

Hadn't realised quite how long Womens' (or Ladies' teams) have been part of the club. Apparently they played at least ten times between 1920 and 1922, and on Good Friday 1921 they beat Swindon Ladies 6-0 at Elm Park in front of 8,000 spectators.

I think there have been quite a few 'separations' over that period during which there may have been a Reading Women/Ladies Football team but it didn't have direct links with Reading FC. That certainly would have been the case during the period that Women's Football was banned by the FA.

Dreadful news regarding Brooke just announced by the club. A scan has revealed a bone tumour. Wishing Brooke, her family, friends and teammates strength at this deeply worrying time.
