Celebrating in front of the East Stand

by Matt de K » 31 Oct 2010 20:41

(Don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere else yet - I did have a quick look) So, I can't ever remember a proper celebration in front of the East Stand EVER. Always remember scorers running every time to the West. It was nice to see Churchy run along the East Stand - and the rest of the team celebrate with him. Clearly (to me) they have all been told NOT to do this for fear of H&S bolox.

I'm so glad that there wasn't a mass scale surge and pitch invasion and all the Neanderthals in the east didn't rip out their seat and start celebrating waving a blue plastic tray about

More celebrations in front of the East please!!!!

I would say its been a fairly even split over the 10 or so years I have had a season ticket.

The players definitely havent told not to because of H&S!

You are kidding right?

Remember Dave Kitson jumping in the crowd there? That has never happened in the West Stand

Sigurdsson used to celebrate in front of the East Stand alot too

Murts jumping on Kingsley after his penalty? You don't get a more definitive celebration than that!

THE best celebration ever at Madejski IMO was in front of the East Stand

The only reason he celebrated in front of the east stand after his winner was because most of the west standers were in their cars waiting to get out of the carpark 5 minutes quicker.

He celebrated infront of the east stand because all the players know thats were the majority of noise comes from certainly was on saturday.(The noise from the east stand spured the team on)

This is also proven by the fact that when Hunty was trying to get the fans up when he came on he motioned to the East stand to make noise knowing that theres no point asking the West stand as they are all asleep and the fact that the North stand if full of pre-pubesent school kids whose highlight of the game is doing a countdown from 10 to 0 with the clock at the end of the game.

I seem to remember Doyler celebrating at least two of his three against Palace in front of the East.
