Well its supposed to be an advantage but i would doubt that. For us, its definately a bonus to be at home 1st if its to be swansea. there wont be many goals over the 2 legs and whoever scores 1st will probably win the tie.
So home 1st suits me fine. 5th time lucky? try telling that to Preston who have not won in 7 attempts.
The one good thing about this time around is that we won't be finishing in the top play-off position and have not really been in play-off territory for much of the season. On previous occasions we have either finished in the top play off position or been right up there. So to an extent what have we got to lose.
The problem is Bolton, Walsall, Wolves and Burnley are scars and I don't want another one.

Because all the other times we were up there or there abouts in automatic/play offs throughout the season. This time we've come from nowhere to snatch a play off place.
Because the team finishing 5th has won the play-offs more times than the team finishing 4th, 6 to 4
