andrew1957 Like all of us I am really looking forward to the final and what is arguably the biggest annual game in World football. No other game has a winner takes all £90M prize.
However, although on the day no doubt I will be nervous, I do feel surprisingly relaxed about the final outcome.
I have not been to New Wembley yet. Went to the old one many times but made a pact with myself not to go to the new one until RFC got there. I have turned down a few opportunities to watch other matches there so I am really looking forward to seeing the new stadium in person.
And as for the result - well it seems to me that next season will be really exciting whatever the outcome. If we go up we have PL football to look forward to. Trips to Man U and Liverpool again - all the excitement every week.
However, if we stay down the Championship looks like it will be the most competitive it has ever been next season. With the likes of West Ham coming down with big parachute payments and the likes of Brighton and Southampton on the up, it will be a fantastic roller coaster ride in the Championship next season.
And we all know that some of our better players will be sold if we stay down, so it will be fascinating to see if Brian can work his magic again and re-build the team and get the best out of Manset, Morrison, Church, Taylor, D'Ath, Obita etc etc. So whatever happens next season will be really exciting and so my view is may the best team win at Wembley. I hope it will be us, but if not I will still be there in July really looking forward to next season.

Archie's penalty I hope we don't lose but it won't hurt as much as 95 no matter what happens.

It's good to know that nobbers are spread so far afield. Where in Iowa are you located? My step daughter leaves in Villisca which is as about as far from any where you can imagine, even in Iowa.

Well, obviously I won't be at Wembley - I'll be watching from my home in Iowa. But I agree completely with Andew's sentiment regarding next season. Mrs. JGR and I have had our airline tickets to England purchased for a couple months now. At the time we bought the tickets we didn't have any expectation of seeing RFC in the Premier League this coming September. Now, that it's down to one game left to win to go up, I can't quite believe I might be seeing a Man Utd or Liverpool (granted it might also be a Stoke or Bolton). But even if it's Brighton we end up watching play RFC, I don't care. It's still RFC and that's what's important to me. I CANNOT wait for this fall!!!!

Great Knolly If we win, can we take the money and stay in the Champ ? ...... didn't think so.

Great Knolly If the squad stayed the same I wouldn't mind too much about losing a game in which we played well. But as a loss would mean we lose some of our best players, a win becomes important. Not too fussed about being in Prem or Champ. More excited about next Monday than about any Prem game. Only one that could get close would be the 1st one v Middlesborough. If we win, can we take the money and stay in the Champ ? ...... didn't think so.
