Car Park Protest

by Scarface » 08 Aug 2011 13:07

Are any of the muppet brigade planning on protesting in Shane Long's car park space?

Why would anyone want to prevent someone the crowd have affection for furthering his career at a higher level? :?:

The only ones in football with any loyalty are the supporters.

I disagree. Matt Mills sent out an apology to the RFC fans, a letter which gave me hope for the human race once again

Hmm perhaps you're right. We should put the relevant papers into the Vatican now to get his beatification under way, get ahead of the game...

Svlad Cjelli The only ones in football with any loyalty are the supporters.

And even that is not entirely true. Loyalty works both ways. Imho, the people at RFC are so far up their arses it is beyond belief. They think they are bigger and better than so many others. The whole experience of watching football at the mad stad makes me retch.

I doubt very much whether I will set foot in the Mad Stad for a very long time. The cost of getting to the ground, buying a ticket and consuming any of the "refreshments" is exhorbitant. As a "club", it is no longer one that I can identify with.

So, as far as "loyalty" from fans is concerned, it can be broken.

What's more, I am not bothered either.

Fair enough. So what are you doing on HNA? commenting about a club you have no involvement with?

Occasionally, there will be a game where I know supporters of the opponents - as was the case Saturday. I still look out for the results but the umblilical cord has been well and truly severed. Does this mean I am unable to comment? If anything, it probably means that I am more qualified to offer a less jaundiced opinion than others.

I thought this was a thread to complain about the time it takes to get out of the car park

If I was certain we would replace Long (which we should've done by signing Earnshaw or Miller), I would drive Long to wherever he's going straight away! What I was disappointed by was the cheer that Madejski got on sat...how will he ever get the message if we act as though nothing is going on?!

I agree with "Here for the KEBE". We knew Long would be off at some point this window - but it seems it was decided long before any bids were made that we wouldn't be replacing him with a comparable striker. I didn't think Madejski got that big a cheer - though, as we know, the sound is not good around the Madejski. I suspect he took his chance as it was the first game of a new season - I don't expect to see him come out at every home game, that's for sure. He disappeared when people got the hump about not spending the Sig money - the same will happen again, now that McD has more or less admitted he won't be getting any extra funds from the sale of Long.

Not a massive cheer but there were no signs of discontent with him, I did however refuse to stand and clap him. McDermott hasn't said he won't replace Long though, he's just saying that he won't be able to replace a player of his standard, which is open to opinion as he was fecking useless before last December
