I reserve judgment on the description of how he spoke. Wouldn't have done to broadcast it live would it?!

Hopefully much more besides will also include his retirement plans!

I alos look forward to learning how such a well run business continually loses substantial sums of money and is forced to sell its most valuable assets every year. If that happened in another business, I doubt analysts would describe it as well run.

Madejski has finally found a new owner. A Kuala Lumpur businessman apparently. Talks have been ongoing for 9 months.

With Madejski unwilling to put a single penny into the club, maybe the announcement is that in future both he and his cronies Cilla, Parky and co will be paying to watch the games, like us poor mugs.

It's be the same old about the outgoings being greater than the income, needing to sell to stay afloat, we're a well run club... we're after players but they have to be the right player at the right price...

Not sure why they say the national press would be interested though. I can't imagine anything SJM comes out with will really be news.

He may coin a few new phrases as he knows the natives are getting restless now, but essentially it will be the same message. He is not the sort of person who will bow to supporter power and will carry on doing things his way. After all, it is his club, he can do what he want.

To be honest, unless it is something like that I don't want to know because we have heard the rest before....

By the way did we not get the full club take from the play off final.(including Swansea's share) ..that must stave off some of the constant problems.

I think the painful truth is SJM ain't as rich as he once was so can't cover any deficits at the moment with the ease he once could. He has been falling steadily in the Times Rich List year after year, and although he is still a very wealthy man, he has seen he fortune halved in the last 10 years or so to about £175 Million. He is selling off one of his Hotels, shares in companies at the moment and it appears has been hit hard by the economic downturn, so I hardly feel he is in the mood to pump more money into the football club. It is not exactly a hard luck story, but £175million doesn't go a long way in football these days, which is more or a sad reflection on football than SJM.

The sooner a new buyer comes along the better, but we just don't know when that will be. Until then, we will stand still. Madejski can't just step aside if there is nobody to take over.

I have a feeling he may put this across in a more heartfelt way than before when his interview is published tomorrow.

You do realise that when SJM goes and seels the club, it will be the club that will be sold. He will keep the stadium, hotel and training ground and then lease the stadium and training ground to the new owners.
