I thought the suggestion in the Post about keeping Harte at LB and putting Mills left wing was weird, but this takes the biscuit ...

I saw Kebe and Manset down the middle of Broad Street a few weeks ago. Kebe was on the left of the pair.

What is the obsession with pissing about playing people out of possession and dropping our better players entirely?

The OP has got the ghost of a point though. The team should be flexible enough for one or two players to play in different positions.
We play too much in straight lines, too many long diagonal balls but not enough diagonal runs. Brian obviously fancies McAnuff in the centre, Harte can play centre back, Kebe rates himself on the left and I reckon Cummings could get forward as a wing back. Well encourage them. With this as a framework we would have the option of alternating during games between 442, 433, 451 or 343.
Man Citeh apparantly do this stuff brilliantly, but the point is you don`t necessarily have to be gifted footballers to achieve fluency, but you can be liberated by the coaching staff.
