Where will Reading up?

by redscot » 27 Feb 2012 12:04

How high do you think Reading will end up? A few weeks ago I thought play-offs was just in reach, then the teams above had second thoughts about life in the fast lane and let Reading catch up.
I stuck a "dont know" option for those whom geniunely do not know.

Play-offs.

We don't have enough of these threads.

I voted for 2nd. Our rock solid defence will keep them points rolling in even if things dry up at the other end!

Got a feeling Birmingham will nick the league title though, with Southampton and West Ham nose diving into play-off obscurity.

i think we will either just make the playoffs or finish 1st.

If we win v Millwall on Saturday then we will go to 60 pts, with WHU and Soton on 61 and 62. They both follow our game with tricky games v Leeds and Cardiff. A home win on Tuesday night could put us on top of the pile... and from then on I think we would jsut play even better and head to the away games v Brighton, WHU, Soton and Brum confident of a result. Look at McDermotts track record away to Everton, Liverpool, Cardiff in the playoffs or even the performance v Man City.

If we keep the run going for the next 3 or 4 matches then we will only need a couple of crucial wins in April to seal the title!

But once we let in a goal again, or lose a game, I think that might be that. Its hard to recover when you lose this streak. We should have enough to just about sneak 6th, but I think there wont be much between 4th and 9th by the end of the season. So hopefully we can keep it up and get the trophy back!

I was thinking second actually. With the top two relaxing somewhat it seems Reading could creep into automatic hopefully stealing Southamptons spot.

1. West Ham
2. Reading
Play offs: Southampton - Cardiff final (Southampton to win, fcuk the Welsh!)

Last season the good run ended somewhat early from what I can remember. This time without the FA cup distraction, it might last a bit longer. There is not many points between the top and 7th. (If one assumes games in hand are won.)

Could that be because the guy who wrote it struggles a bit with English?! (I still publish a magazine in English, though!)
