Player of the Season Poll

As I believe the next couple of home games will see voting for Player of the Season I guess now is as good a time as any to vote for your Player of the Season

Holding out for another couple of games as Pearce is edging ever closer to Gorkks in my mind.

A tough call this year, as so many players have impressed but I've gone for Feds. He works as hard as ever and is a spirited goalie. Lots of clean sheets, I've noticed many great saves. Of course he's part of a strong defensive setup overall but I'd like to give him my vote.

Ideally would want to give it a few more weeks as I genuinely feel it's closer than it's been for a good few years. A top 3 of Federici, Pearce and Gorkks for me, I'm just not yet sure in what order.

Here we go. The annual "Best player from Feb onwards" award.

If Gorkks picked up a bad injury soon after signing we would not even be top half now. So nothing else to consider for me.

Pearce has been awesome. But surely you have to admit thats down to Gorkks playing alongside him?

Why? As a combination they have both been solid, cover each other very well and Pearce has got goals whereas Gorkss hasn't really so slightly edges him in my mind.

Gorkss doesn't make Pearce look better than he is, it's just that we have a partnership in defence that properly complements each other and works together.

Got to be Feds for me. He has been consistently superb & kept us in games when the confidence just wasn't there earlier on. I'm not sure you can say that about any other players other than him, Gorkss & Pearce.

But Fed has produced more stand out performances for me than any other player so that's my reasoning.

We have four really serious candidates this year. I've stuck with Jem because whenever we have needed a firm tackle or a gut-busting run this year he has produced it. I wouldn't argue if the voting public went for Federici, Pearce or Gorkss, they have all been good enough to win in many years.

Which is what might edge it for Gorkss in the end but Pearce has to take credit for his performances in his own right and does score more goals too.

Gorkss was a class act the day he arrived. Pearce became a class act the day Gorkss arrived.

1. Gorkss
2. Pearce

No other contenders.
