Um, they are West Ham United. Maybe you should have been more specific and said "Sorry, they are not Manchester United".

royalexile Allardyce seems to play on the negativity surrounding the team and supporters quiet well doesn't he. Lets hope he's in for a rough ride tomorrow as he doesn't seem to be sending out the right signals. I'm not sure what his contractual terms and conditions are but he seems quite nervy.

Friday's Legacy Sounds like he's getting his excuses in early. Yesterday he was quoted as saying his side play like Swansea. I'll have whatever he's having please.

Ideal Sam Lard-Arse can go to hell, he's signed what, 25 strikers and no midfield, says a lot about his tactical priorities.
His teams haven't exactly been playing "Keeganesque" football.
IMHO there is effective football - what we play.
Then there is ineffective hoofball - what they play.
In order for the direct style of play to have any real effect, passing has to be precise, and you need quick pacey wide players who can cross the ball. We have this.
They have a midfield packed with central midfielders, and none of them are particularly quick. In fact most of them are quite slow.
In addition they are not particularly quick to get forward. It's an advantage for the direct ball team, if they an play on the break. West Ham are incapable of this, their team of slow, lumbering has-beens isn't capable of really scaring anyone when it comes to pace.
All this is really immaterial though, I would just love to see them go bust, having gambled their finances on this promotion challenge.

IdealIan Royal It can't be that ineffective, they're 1 point behind us in 3rd.
If we had Carew playing for us, we'd make sure he got plenty of goals. They have not only him, but 20,000 other strikers, and none of them are scoring - why is this?

DOYLERSAROYALER The fat blob said on talksport ...."all Reading's goals were mistakes by us rather than great play by them"...
.....just a very sad man who never has been gracious in defeat and no need to think he will start now
