Congratulations

by jack_thehammer » 18 Apr 2012 13:26

Congratulations Reading fc on your promotion to the PL from a west ham fan im happy for you and what a run you have been on tried to post on here last night but my account had not been activated.

To be fair untill this season i did not even know that we were rivals i have always quite liked reading so when it was all over the forums that we were rivals i was shocked.

I wish you all the best :)

Thanks Jack, we aren't really rivals. Your lot just knicked our manager via under hand means a few years back so we like to get one over you ;)

It is a tad ironic when a lot of WHU call us plastic and there you are with a bubble machine!

...and giant plastic sandcastles.

Thing is that whole "plastic" jibe is just nonsense anyway. Every club and I mean every club however authentic they like to claim their support is, will always carry a chunk of Bandwagon jumpers, johnnycomelatelies, gloryhunters etc etc supporters. For anyone to pretend otherwise is just bollox really.

To be fair at the start of the season when you guys were not in form the stadium was a bit empty but with the finacial situation I dont think thats ome people wanted to pay a ton to see a bad performace becasue not every reading fan lives in berkshire, some live miles and miles away. Just like perhaps thats why im not a Cu*t like the essexs lot and have been on here congratulating you.

Yes that bubble machine is awfull

The other thing that makes me laugh is that amongst Reading's support will be guys that have supported this club whilst standing on terraces watching Division 4 football and are still watching their club week in week out now. The same could almost certainly be true amongst Wigan fans with non-league football as well. To call those people plastic is utterly bizarre.

They may be proper mental but they're certainly not plastic.

Irony being is that half the people making the jibe probably have no idea that such a thing as Division 4 even existed.

Hammers fans think we're plastic cos we play a song when we score. Plastic or not, I noticed last night Bayern Munich do the same. Haven't they won more World Cups than the Hammers?

Yes .. Bayern Munich have won the World Cup 7 times and West Ham only 2

eh??????????

I can't imagine what cup you could possibly mean , apart from some old european cup perhaps
also , it's a bit of a non-sequitur argument , really , to be frank :|

I suppose I'm a plastic too. That last home match I saw was when Pardew was still in charge, I did get to see an away game at Preston last season, but being in China makes a game rather expensive I guess.
I only watched like 20 odd matches at Elm Park, I've never supported Spurs so I guess that's in my favour, and I know who Ewe Hartenburger is, so it's still looking up, but then I still reckon some kid who claims we should be in the premiership is going to call me a plastic.

anyway adding to the plastic part we must be plastics as if we stay down next season our stadium will be half full, some of our fans need to sort their lives out.

with the Div 4 thing i follow Tonbridge all over the country went to cornwall the other month to watch them so thats a bit lower than div 4 :D

anyway i wish you the best of luck
