No Fixed Abode I might be wrong - but I very much doubt they played it at Old Trafford yesterday.
Anyway - the club shouldn't play it. A mark of respect by putting something on the scoreboard would suffice.

winchester_royal Very sad indeed that 65% have responded negatively. Perhaps they would like to think how they would want their loved ones respected should such a tragedy befall them. Pathetic.

I wouldn't give two shits if a football club on the other side of country played an anthem if that's what you're getting at.
Probably spin off thread material but I'd go for a nice bunch of flowers at the crematorium.

Green I don't think that's remotely comparable.

Why not? Both are meant as tributes to those that have died. Both are designed to ensure we don't forget those who perished. Both are partaken in to give the younger generation a greater perspective on life. Will either bring back those who were lost? No. Will either give comfort to those who have lost? Hopefully, but probably not. Is the argument over whether either are justified pathetic? Yes, very.

Bad things happen in the world every single day - it's not the job of Reading FC to organise memorials and silences for them.
