TBF looking at these players, we haven't done badly.

Mccarthy, Mccleary, Kebe, Federici, Karacan, Robson-Kanu, Pearce, Le Fondre, Akpan, Kelly, Morrison....

These have all been very good purchases considering prices/how long ago we picked them up

Bloody hell-I am amazed how much we paid for some of that lot-you can see how Clubs leak money-some big transfers (for us) are now worth diddly squat ! However on the other hand Lwood/Gorks/Roberts bought us promotion and presumably a big return-the play off game is called the £90 mill game presumably because of the parachute payments and one year in the Prem ?

Hard to believe I know, and in that time we have let Charlie Austin and Simon cox leave and also passed up the chance to sign Gary hooper for peanuts

That list is quite incredible, I guess it doesn't include players that have left such as the odd Marek Matejovsky or David Mooney, but I wonder if any other club can produce such an impressive player transfer balance sheet ?

Yeah. I used it for players that are still here.

It is impressive. We must have the lowest in the Premier League, and one of the lowest in the Championship. It helps we've used the youth system though. Clubs like Man City, Chelsea and even Southampton have players the cost more than our entire squad.

I'll update that. :)

Who was the youth team coach when we let Austin and Cox go for Church - Mr McDermott?

The moral is - it's not what you spent, it's what you spend it on.

It's even more impressive if you pretend we didn't sign Gunter or Mariappa - that gives a squad of 43 players assembled at an average cost of £190,000. That's League One money at best.

Yep, it really is impressive that we spent L1 money and assembled one of the worst Premiership teams in years.
The likes of Norwich and Wigan must be kicking themselves that they never thought of that.

It's impressive that we've spent League One money and are on the same number of points as QPR who I wager have a few players who cost more than £2.5 million.

You find it incredible that 13 million got us the worst squad in the Premiership ?
I find it perfectly obvious.
The money spent since promotion has got us nowhere, we could have finished bottom without even adding to the squad

16th May 2012 - Garath McCleary - Nottingham Forest - £0
29th June 2012 - Danny Guthrie - Newcastle United - £0
5th July 2012 - Pavel Pogrebnyak - Image Stuttgart - £0
6th July 2012 - Pierce Sweeney - Image Bray Wanderers - £60,000
10th July 2012 - Nicky Shorey - West Bromwich Albion - £0
17th July 2012 - Adrian Mariappa - Watford - £2,500,000
17th July 2012 - Chris Gunter - Nottingham Forest - £2,500,000
20th August 2012 - Stuart Taylor - Manchester City - £0

11th January 2013 - Stephen Kelly - Fulham - £1,000,000
30th January 2013 - Nick Blackman - Sheffield United - £1,200,000

None of these have made the slightest difference, some of them we will be lucky if we manage to give them away

We should be making a "profit" on Pog. If we get ~£2,000,000, it cancels out his wages to.

They've beaten us!
