buckingham royal From the vaults of time. Reading fans (2) and Oxford Fans unite to demonstrate against the Thames Valley Royals in front of the London Rd End. Can you identify the two fans - one is very well known and the other is wearing an away scarf so as not to excite the natives !!!!

Is it me or is this article a load of toss? Doesn't capture the emotion, or really even suggest that it was a big deal. Written by an Oxf*rd journo, and we just get a "oh and then Reading sorted it" bit at the end.

Roger Smee
"I was such a sad case in those days," he says. "I was building a business and my only respite was to go down to Elm Park, have a few whiskies, watch some terrible football, moan about it and go home having had a thoroughly good afternoon.

Mid Sussex Royal Don't know if anyone has made ref to this but this is an interesting article on BBC Sport today - some good quotes from people in both camps and some stuff I wasn't aware of around the unissued shares....
