Church, Hunt, Pogrebnyak or Blackman?

What a depressing choice.
:(
No wonder ALF is worshiped as a hero when this lot are the alternative.

Simon Church always has promise as as striker it was the club that him back.

He should have gone out on season long loan to prove his ability....RFC failed on this count as they kept him at the club to play the odd game season after season where he came in for criticism from the fans on more than one occasion.

Good luck to the lad at Charlton where he may well hit 12 - 16 goals this season now that he is playing regular football.

Simon Church Jokes aside. He would be more use than a not interested Pog.At least Churchy gave his all every time he played in a Reading shirt and actually gave a shit.

Always feel the abuse Church got on here was a bit undeserved. He was always 100 per cent committed to the cause and deserved a bit more respect just for that alone.Hes doing well at Charlton so far and im pleased for him

What a Charlton fan thought of Church in their 2-1 win against Leicester City: Churchy absolutely ran himself into the ground for us, his movement and commitment is superb and I've been really impressed with the brief glimpses we've had of him

Yes. Church could do a job in this league. Unfortunately Brian didnt think about this initially and signed Blackman who is potentially worse.

St. Brynjar I'd rather we kept Hunt.

I'm with you. Hunt offers much more and never sulks. Church is only good when he comes off the bench when we're already winning. With hindsight, i bet the club also wish they'd offered Hunt an extra year too.

Even Church would be better than no one.

And Hunt would be much better than Church or no none.

The same Nick Blackman who scored 14 goals, largely from the wing in by Christmas? He clearly hasn't worked, but acting on the information Brian had at the time, i think it's a bit harsh to be critical.

Should we have? We offered him a new deal, just as we did with Noel Hunt, and both turned them down. Their choice to go.
