4 games without Gorkss - what to do?

The Royals have appealed Kaspars Gorkss' red card in Sunday's 3-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.

After reviewing video footage of the incident, we have contacted the FA to notify them of our intention to appeal.

We now have to make our submission with evidence by 1pm on Tuesday.

If the appeal is not successful, Gorkss would serve a four-match ban, having already been sent off this season for two yellow cards, away at Middlesbrough.

Ref was wrong to send Gorkss off in my mind it was never a sending off. he touch the ball frist than player !!

Doesn't matter - it's whether the ref deems that Gorkss was not in control of the challenge and/or it was dangerous

BTW - How far off is Morrison's return, last I heard it was mid Feb (i.e. now)

If we are at all serious about keeping Hector, we have to play him. You'll never know if he's good enough unless you play him and he's out of contract in the summer. If we don't select him, he's as good as gone.

Play Hector and get an emergency loan signing .... at least as back up. We need a CB on the bench at the very least ... unless we've got someone else in the academy who could do that?

I'd be amazed if this one goes our way too. Personally I can see why the ref gave the red looking at it at full speed, although I don't think you'd see the same decision given each time if you repeated the incident 10 times across different games.

But with the benefit of replays, slow-mo and different angles I think a yellow would be fairer.

If that is enough to get us off again, then great. I'm not sure it would be. You'd have to hate to be Hector suffering the disappointment of thinking your chance had come and then it goes again.

Personally think if you get sent off then it should stand, after all why can you appeal a red and not two yellows....
