I think it is telling that Guthrie was a shoe in for the first couple of months. Then Pog.

This is why it's about the whole season and picked at the end. Because few players keep up top notch performances all year. Give it another couple of weeks and someone else could emerge from the pack.

guthrie started out well, overtaken by pog, who was in turn overtaken by gunter, but if current form continues till the end of the season it should be williams

Sums up how mediocre our season has been if an average plodder like Gunter is POTS.

Obita must be in with a shout if he keeps improving.

Danny Williams is very hot and cold. Not consistent enough IMO.

I actually favour the calls for Gunter. He's been superb this season. Very rarely does he let us down defensively and he's superb at getting forward and supporting McCleary.

Otherwise Obita is a good choice. He looks very assured on the left-wing and has had to adapt very quickly to being a left-back, and has done so with relative ease.

One of these two so far!

Hence why I've highlighted two players that have been more consistent that most - IMO.

Gunter, McCleary or Williams for me.

No one else has been consistent enough.

EarleyRoyal16 Gunter, McCleary or Williams for me.

No one else has been consistent enough.

McCleary is the player the least able to have 'consistent' used to describe him.

He's been a complete passenger offering virtually nothing in some games and absolutely devastating in others. His positive contributions absolutely outweigh the negatives or the lack of positives, but to describe him as 'consistent' is baffling.

McAnuff for being the catalyst that kicked started our season into something vaguely respectable.

Still the hardest working
