Stock up on raingarments and appropriate headwear...

by peckhamwolf » 10 Mar 2014 21:14

Since it looks like the Whitleymen are wobbling and promotion is now highly unlikely, it may be an advisable time to stock up on appropriate headwear and raincoats ready for the return of fixture that saw the Reading Evening Post compare the scenes at Molineux (for the play-off semi-final a few years ago, for those who only started supporting Reading after they got promoted) to the Night of The Long Knives, with women and children being mauled, abused and violated, and of course showers of urine, bovril and six finger salutes from Gornalwolf and his band of merry hillybillies.

The recent thread on here on teams Reading hate really baffled me. Wolves have been pitiful in recent years, comparable as a rival to Swindon or Oxford, and yet still we remain a hated figure for the Southcote chain gang. I don't really know why, since if anyone should be bitter it should be Wolves really. This weekends fixture which saw Walsall fans racially abuse Wolves black players was a stark reminder of how Nathan Blake and Joleon Lescott were treated in that play-off semi-final all those years ago by Reading fans bitter at their teams disappointing return over two legs. I'm hoping Reading fans have moved forward and don't hold such prejudices any longer - let's kick racism out of football. Yet Wolves don't hold any grudges towards Reading despite the fairy tales of the local papers on events at Molineux, so we wish you well for the rest of the season, not so well that you don't get the opportunity to 'wreak revenge' on us though for that awful, horrific day.

Not really feeling your work here Peckham. Quite frankly I feel like you've let us down.

I was waiting for him to make another post before doing the "again" version. Thanks for ruining that one.
