blueroyals  @ people seriously suggesting Tony Pulis. I'll return my ST if we appoint him. You thought watching us play this season has been boring? I'd rather watch paint dry than his Stoke side. I'm sure playing hoof-ball with a sociopathic baseball cap-donning northerner for a manager is an exciting prospect for any youngster selecting his youth team.
You all want us to become the next Stoke?

If it sorts our defense out then I couldn't give a fcuk. His record speaks for itself.

His record of turning Stoke into a laughing stock?
His transfer record of signing Dave Kitson for £5.5m?

notloyalenuffroyal It depends whether we want success or beautiful football.
Essentially Coppell, McDermott, Pardew and even McGhee played a certain brand of 'Get at 'em quick' football. Look how Newcastle play. Dull for a while - cross your fingers - ride your luck then get at them fast!!!
Rodgers, Adkins and even Tommy Burns went for 'their style' and 'their players'.
It just doesn't work with us. We are not a particularly sophisticated fan base (speak for myself, i know) and we just like to watch a team having a good go, preferably at a decent tempo.
This is why Guthrie struggles. This is why Karacan is a huge loss at the moment and why people were sad to see Jay Tabb go (was this an Adkins decision or hadn't he started then? They were pretty close together).
I therefore declare Pulis' up and at-em style is probably our way forward. Sorry for you pretty football types. No good at the Mad Stad.
