Whilst watching this clip, i was praying that Bain would come in, kill a nuclear physicist and turn the entire place into a crater. I never want this to catch on!

We need to make our own lyrics version of this and make it our own song.

+1
Really feels like the club is trying a bit too hard and it gets a bit cringeworthy. See Queensly for more evidence of same.

As with goal music and all the other things the club does there is a lot of hot air form grumpy gifts on here, but the evidence in the stadium is that the majority go along with it and seem to get a kick out of it. If you don't like it don't play along.

I hold my hands up to being a grumpy git, but I want to feel like I'm at a football match, not romping in a ball pit at Monkey Mates.

I think the lyrics could fit a big screen video showing the 05/06 season, and performed by a local reading band of some sort.

Where it began, (Plymouth H)
We can't begin to knowin'
But then we knew it's growing strong (Footage of goals etc....)

It was the spring (Leicester A)
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed that we'd belong. (Premier League)

Hands, touchin' hands
Reachin' out, touchin' me, touchin' you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good (So good, so good)
I've been inclined
To believe they never would

Big URZZZZZ as game starts.

But it'll only ever work if the miserable oxf*rd embrace it.

Sweet Caroline has absolutely nothing to do with the current team, and was only some song that Glen Little liked wasn't it??

Why we can't stick with Terry & June and use that as they come out onto the field I'll never know. In fact, the Benny Hill music would probably be better....

I'm one of the grumpy old gits and am now fed up with the manufacturing of atmosphere.
Caroline feels ancient and I don't want that PA twat screaming URRRRRZZZZ at the start of every game and I resent that the announcer told us to remain in our seats to appreciate the players at the end of the last game.
If I want all of this I'll go to Butlins or a karaoke night.
Oh for the days of clapping, no singing and players courteously shaking hands when they score a goal plus hats being thrown in the air in jubilation, oh and no stinking burgers or hot dogs but the aroma of bovril in the air.
While we are at it I also hate the tatooed players with mohican haircuts and stupid goal celebrations ( not that we see many of those from our players this season) plus multi-coloured boots and adverts on shirts (Danny Guthrie fits the bill on most counts other than scoring any goals).
I gather that brylcream is on the way back so at least a step in the right direction.

I have to say i was impressed with how loud and together it was on Saturday.

Still, how the PA team still can't work out when to start and stop it without being amateurish i don't know.

And it just sums up the anondyne lead by the nose woolly nature of RFC fans. Sit quietly in silence waiting for their queue to make some noise for 10 seconds then return to form.

It's a terrible choice because no one joins in except for one bloody line that is about 10% of the playback. It does nothing to fire up the crowd because it carefully choreographs the exact moment they're 'allowed'to make noise and then queues them back into silence.

The tempo is terrible. There's just no staying power and no adrenaline kick.

That's because most of the things the club try to do are manufactured plasticy stuff.

There were some lads sat a few rows infront of me at Wembley trying to create an atmosphere and get involved in the game.

What happened... They had some day trippers telling them to sit down. In the 87th minute of holding the 2nd best team in the country to a 90 minute draw. :x

It created an atmosphere and served its purpose for the cup matches and there it should endeth.

The Delilah song for Stoke had an impact when it was first sung but it seems so jaded and boring now.
