Hector own goal

by Pearcehegone » 19 Apr 2015 03:57

I couldnt be more gutted for Feds and so immensely proud of the boys today, Hector and Williams were just unreal. What i did notice however was that there was a tiny deflection off Hectors foot which put the ball through Feds legs. Or am i just seeing things? As Feds adjusts his body to make the routine save, the ball takes a tiny (but significant) deflection off Hectors toe. ive watched it a million times from the angle behind the goal and I think, I think I might be right. Or just seeing things.

Does it oxf*rd matter? His performance was brilliant, why nit pick over a small deflection. Fancy telling McCleary his goal was an oggy?

Even if there was a microscopic deflection that wouldn't make it an own goal.

If anyone is to blame it would be Gunter for allowing Sanchez so much room and get the shot away. He's been doing it all season. HOWEVER, Gunter had a decent game and I'm not blaming him. Marking Sanchez is a tough gig for 120 minutes. He did well.

There was definitely a small deflection, one view from behind the goal is all it needs to see it.

That will have affected the save but not an excuse for the spill.

Its enough of a deflection to send it the 2 inches to the right of his already placed hands. Very very unlucky.
