Chant for Norwood

by RoyalAuzzie » 06 Apr 2016 00:43

Norwood showed his class again tonight - and I still think it's a shame that he doesn't have his own song, especially being one of our better and more consistent players.

So I have sort of come up with one in my head over the past couple of weeks, to the tune of don't take me home.

We've got Norwood,
Oli Norwood,
I just thought that you'd like to know,
He's putting on a show,
He's better than Pirlo,
We've got Oli Norwood!

Just a thought that I felt I had to share, any other suggestions?

Maybe a chant to egg the club to give him a new contract.

He had a much better chant that everyone forgot about for this new one that is a stretch to fit into the tune. Shame.

Oliver Norwood
La la la la la

Can't think what the tune is

It was simple, easy and fitted his damn name better!

How about there's only one David Beckham

Then he might finally get the message and stop playing silly unneccesary 60 yard switch balls out of play!

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll not Norwood alone
You'll not Norwood alone

With a bit of practice that might catch on

Except he doesn't really do that much running. I vote that after HRK inevitably swans off in the summer, we use that for Jordan Obita instead.

Is there already an Obita chant?

O-B-I-T-A... He's O-B-I-T-A.
He knows he is, he's sure he is
He's O-B-I-T-A.

Just joking... he's not at all worthy of that chant and it will forever be GM's.

Heard this a few times but it never really took off:

Woke up this morning feeling fine
Jordan Obita's on my mind,
He plays football the way everyone should,
Oh yeah,
Something tells me I'm into something good

Oliver Norwood / Morning has broken.... seems to fit the tune, not sure about the rest of the lyrics, might as well keep them as they are, nobody seems to care about the meanings, hence why they are happy to stab the swindon

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world

To the tune of "Oh when the Saints"

"you make my toes
you make my toes
you make my toes curl up and die
Oh my club is full of ox*ords
who make my toes curl up and die"
