To be fair, your analysis is pretty spot on.

Brian McDermott inherited a shambles and he won't be able to put anything right until the summer transfer window.

We were poor before McD took charge. Since then departures, injuries and self inflicted suspensions have simply uncovered the poor state of the club.

With a first 11 fine. Without relegation material.
