Not sure why Beerens tried to square it there instead of slotting it in... Should be 1-0.

The pen might have been dodgy, but we created more chances I think and deserve the lead.

Now... can we keep a clean sheet in the opening 5 minutes of the second half??
Ipswich will come out all guns blazing so let's hope Joey VDB can keep the midfield tight and protect the defence.

We're definitely missing Swift's movement and passing in midfield. VDB, Evans and Williams HAVE to move more and drop deeper if McShane and Moore are under high pressure. Either they find space and are open to receive a short ball, or they suck in the opposition midfield and open up masses of space behind them for the longer ball. VDB seems to be watching an awful lot. Evans is making the effort to come back touch off and then burst back forward. Just a little more movement, a slightly higher tempo and a little more positive risk.

Good wing play, but just not quite right in the box. Gunter better than previously but still too cautious and dithery in the first two thirds... slows things too much. In the final third, apart from never looking like he'd score in a million years, he's more positive and useful.

Moore looks class - should link up well with Swift, Blackett more solid than Obita and decent going forward.

Harsh pen for me, it's very close, but his arm does seem to go out towards the ball and could have been kept closer to his side. So I'll go with harsh but not necessarily wrong. I think the ref got the right call with Evans... just a touch late and lungey, no strong contact so not quite a red.

Kermorgant's doing well without looking much like scoring. Beerens is a threat, though his best moments have been luck. I get why he didn't shoot, if it comes off its a tap in for Kermie, if he shoots there's a lot of keeper coming his way to squeeze it past, very good keeping.

Evans isn't suited to that role. He should be playing where VDB is. They need to get Gunter and Blackett into it a bit more, they're forward but not getting used.

1-1 Pitman pen for Ipswich.
Did the ref even out a controversial decision for GMac's pen??
