Trouble at the station after the game last night?

Whilst I take your point, I always think we have a slightly more aggressive support on big game nights when Chelsea aren't playing. Seem to remember quite a bit of violence in Southampton, and at the station and on the train home when we beat them on a Friday night at their place in the Mcdermott promotion season.

I've always had the impression a few Chelsea hooligans will tag along with Reading some games if they think there's a chance of a fight.

I got threatened at the White Swan in Pimlico yesterday when the penalty went in (and my wife/I revealed ourselves to be the only Reading fans in the pub). This fat bald oxf*rd was held back by his son to stop him following me out as I was leaving.

I did see a bit of fighting on the station platform in Southampton that night, and have spoken to people who saw quite a bit in certain carriages on the train home, I think they got off before the train stopped at Reading. As AS says, whilst the police at Reading station on Southampton away were an overkill, I don't think they'd have called all them out for no reason, policing like that costs a pretty penny.
