Witty?Humorous Player Nicknames

Greetings form an Argyle supporter

I am on a self imposed mission to identify as many historic/current witty and amusing nicknames for players and managers.

I have all the classics like One Size for Fitz Hall,Kiki "Chris" Musampa and some more obscure ones


Afghan Hound, Split Pin and Bananawasp anyone?

I am also interested to see how many clubs have any of the following

Beast
Animal
Psycho
Flying Pig
Trigger
Tank

If you have any then I would love to know them and if possible where obscure the back story.

I used to call him Hal Robson-Kayak. Largely greeted in a similar manner to yours.

We always referred to Dennis Allen as "Daisy". Don't really know why, but we sang the words to Daisy, Daisy, give us your answer do., hoping it would inspire him to score and sometimes it worked. He also got a rendition when he played in goal at Exeter, after our goalie (can't remember who it was but it may have been Arthur Wilky) he was outside the area with the ball on it's way towards the net, he headed the ball well past the half way line to set up an attack on their goal.

Struggle Pig is probably as close to amusing as we could get. Most footballer nicknames definitely can't be described as witty or amusing.

I seem to recall strap finding Bodgers and Bambi on Ice funny. Not sure why.

Matt Robinson was Rooster if my memory is correct. Remembering it was a different time but a bloke near me used to call Steve Richardson, coal bucket!!!

Yeah it was Rooster (which is the nearest thing to actually being humorous that we have come up with......thus far) I concede....but we had the “Bone Day” in tribute of him.......who can put a date and game to that one?
