Give us O*ford at home, please. We are long overdue a local derby, against that scummy club.

I don't really feel anything towards Oxford or Swindon tbh. We've been above them for so many years that some of our supporters will have never seen us play them.

Think someone said it was regional on another thread, makes sense because let's be honest who would want to travel 300 miles for a meaningless game

True. I have lasting memories of our last two trips to O*ford though where by those knuckle dragging inbreds were pushing over elderly fans and spitting at kids. They even stormed their own bloody pub and tipped tables etc. We saw it coming so left, leaving the place mostly O*ford fans, which was amusing to watch from afar. It would just be nice to have an edge to a league cup game with some local rivalry.

For the first round, i would like somebody local two leagues below us to be played in front of a crowd of the 1500 people who remembered the fixture was on. For the second round, somebody we will play twice this season anyway, and have played 20 times in the last 10 years. I dont think we'll get to the Third round, so will skip that part of the wish list.

Was that The Priory near the ground?

I have a completely different recollection. It was usually the pub for Oxford supporters club, but the local constabulary, in their wisdom, designated it a Reading pub for the game. A couple of policemen came in about 45 mins before kick off and told us Oxford fans were outside trying to "take it" but were being kept back by riot police. We were advised to stay inside. Then the police escort for Reading fans from the station arrived at the ground :D and the Oxford loons turned their attention to that. And that was the end of the excitement.
