A first trip to the Madejski I believe for Mr Gillett, who is somewhat of an unusual case in that he is a FIFA referee from Australia who has come over to study at Liverpool university (specialising in children with cerebral palsy) and wanted to continue his refereeing career.

He seems highly regarded as an official so will be interesting to see how he compares to the normal standard we get.

Well there’s someone one who got most points right, and still lost the war. Taylor and several more animals seemed to have free reign. Dirtiest game, oh, since Yorkshire’s Coca Cola franchise. May the flees of a thousand camels infest his & their armpits.
