Long way to go for a game with absolutely no meaning, likely spent being miserable and back to work the following day for most.

If Huddersfield pick up a point tomorrow vs Sheffield United, will you still bother turning up?

Think if we're down I'll be giving the players some stick at the end of the game which is pointless so I will probably give it a miss

I'd love to go for the day out, whatever the situation, but:

the away end is sold out,
it's coronation weekend, do not fancy travelling,
it's a long way at short notice for me.

Yes, a short journey for me and I'm still expecting there to be a sizeable away following which isn't too frequent for me in Yorkshire.

At the moment, I'm just hoping it goes to the final day so there is something on the game.

+1

Last championship game in quite a while too (I'd guess at least 3 years) which adds an angle.

But yeh, f*ck that.

No, it's too long a trek for a meaningless game.

Assuming Sheffield don't win tonight, if anyone wants free tickets, message me

Anyone updating their answer?

If it wasn't such a schlep it'd be a good old day out regardless I think.

I’m up in Chesterfield due to work and also looking for a house so I’m still going to this one. I’m also watching Chesterfield play Bromley on Sunday. I really hope we can still get a decent following despite being relegated.

I have to say, the thought of going all the way up to Yorkshire, after being relegated, to be subjected to 90 minutes of piss-taking from fans of the club that sent us down, doesn't grab me as being much of a day out. And we'll probably lose as well.

I guess if the fans can have an afternoon of singing away with gallows humour, sticking up two fingers in defiance of the situation, it could be OK, but I can't see it. Not unless the fans make it a grim reaper theme day, but I can't imagine the stewards letting in fans who have a scythe.

Usually I'd go but given the circumstances I've decided not to go.

1) As others have said, Huddersfield fans will gloat and I'll still feel sour on Monday

2) Been there 4 times and it's a crap and boring away day

3) I won't have any but unpleasant things to voice at the players who have been pathetic since Christmas. Not that they'll care as most will leave. They don't deserve the support

4) Money's tight, rather save to go to 40+ league matches next season which matter for more

The final insult, the away game to the side that have just relegated us, and with Warnock as the conductor. The only integrity the club can salvage in this is to not play any player who won't be here next season and see how the team could have performed. Will anyone be buoyant enough for an inflatable.
