he dust has settled and we are now a League One club. How long do you think it will take us to return to the second tier?

I mulled over options 3 and 4, But as the EFL allows a loss of 30 million a year and we exceeded that by quite a lot, even if those losses were drastically reduced to say 1 million per month, is Dai going to throw away that amount for a few years to keep the clusdb afloat? So I would have gone for the last option.

Why does there need to be a poll? So unnecessary.

Where do you get 30 million a year from ?

The EFL
Annual Upper Loss Threshold £13 million

Basically clubs can lose up to £13million per season, but that includes an injection of cash from the owner.
Club’s can only lose up to £5million per season without any owner funding.

If a club loses or is set to lose more than the threshold during the three-season period, they must provide future financial information by March 31, proving the club can meet its obligations.

Twice as long as half it's length.

Unsure of owners commitment, influence DoF and scouting department will be permitted, who will be managing the squad and who will even be part of it come next season. We're speculating with quite literally 0 required info.

3 years seems realistic at this stage but I reserve the right to change that view based on manager and player recruitment. Do both well and even bouncing straight back is not beyond the realms of possibility. Do that poorly and it could be a lot longer.

As it stands now - next year 10th to 14th
2025 - 6th to 8th
2026 - play-off winners at last.

Depends massively on the manager

Get a decent appointment in and I’d say our best bet of a quick return is next year, with that chance decreasing every year after

Just don’t think clubs or managers get time to build up a team etc nowadays - if we end say 12th next year the manager will probably be axed again

Think the idea of us building a team over 3-4 years to prepare us for a return just isn’t a thing really. Not unless we genuinely do just pick academy boys and let them grow into the team (and that assuming they’ll end up being good enough anyway)

A good manager with good recruitment and we could do it at the first attempt, although we'd have to do similar to Burnley this season just in a lower division. Unlikely, but not impossible.

I agree that every season we remain down there, the harder it will be to get up. No manager will be lasting any length of time if we are outside the top half next season.
