Hoping for something reasonably relaxing like a non league side at home but expecting to get a visit to Huddersfield, Barnsley, Rotherham or Wigan.

Presume also that Birmingham and Wrexham are bound to be the TV favourites for the first couple of rounds.

I was actually wondering how they would cope with anything approaching a big team. When I last went (Rushall Olympic vs Stourbridge Town), there was only one, tiny, stand (in a corner) and three covered terraces, of varying sizes

There's two solid pubs nearby, along the canal. One has a boat in it, the other has no bar.

Quick eye over the Midlands options.

Tamworth could be fun. Town centre is very old school. Ground has a pretty big terrace at one end.

There's literally no pubs in Hednesford. I saw them beat Long Eaton 3-2 with a last minute winner. The highlight was the wee fella trying to do a pitch invasion with his mates.

I was at Solihull Moors all time highest attendance, a shade over 4k. It has since been beaten. Ground is basically by the airport.

As there are no teams in it local to me I would like the same as you.

A non-league side of no great note ( meaning no change of kick-off time from the Saturday) at home with them bringing a reasonable number of fans (their cup final) for a bit of atmosphere.
A 3-00 Saturday kick-off would be good otherwise the long wait for that formerly orthodox time carries on and on.

For those with longer memories add Wealdstone who are still in the draw.
Fortunately Hendon aren't.
Kettering would do.

Brentwood, Guildford and Bishops Stortford have also thankfully all bitten the dust come to that. Wycombe is still an obvious possibility though.

Scarborough Athletic away, please.

Nice little ground at a phoenix club, and a trip to the seaside is always nice.

Wouldn't want them at home. Would be about 3,000 of them and about 3,000 of us.

Excitement level almost unbearable with less than 3 hours to go.
Or at least it was when I was about 10 years old.

Yeah, but when one is 10 years old excitement levels are unbearable for almost anything.

Remember the days when the draws for the FA Cup were done on the Saturday the previous round was played, so you knew who you'd got in the next round by the time you got home from the game.

Whether this was in the Ding or the Shot, it would be a war zone. In fact, some of the Aldershite actually live in the Ding. And not a lot of peeps know that.
