Sutekh Very interesting, thanks for the excellent work and great to know some of the “truths” of the last year or so. We now know why the women’s team was done over so badly and who it was that carries the blame. Great to hear that Mark Bowen again comes out as being the one positive leading light in the whole sorry affair.

Thanks mate, it was a very eye opening conversation with someone who knows about the Bournemouth takeover but also the Reading situation in depth. Bowen appears to have been sacked even though he was doing the right things for the club. Howe doesn't come out with glowing colours either. The women's team being destroyed despite Reading being pioneers for that was incredibly sad to hear.

Bowen was sacked for gambling on League One results during his time with us. That is gross misconduct.

From Despair To Where? Well, whatever the motives behind the sacking, he handed them the opportunity on a plate by breaking league betting rules, and not for the first time.
