Would've preferred a left back, but pretty happy with this. Tidy player and takes the pressure off Savage and Wing.

Agreed but I suppose with Yids back, maybe they didn't think it was as important, would be nice to have someone who can allow Wing to push higher up the pitch.

Always nice to see a new face. Does this mean Elliott won't be back anytime soon?

I think he was pretty decent for Exeter in the 2023/24 season. He’s another player with experience to help the squad.

I guess with Craig out for the season, this makes sense. That's especially the case if Elliott isn't going to be back soon.

My concern is he wasn't playing regularly in League Two for Milton Keynes before having his contract terminated a month ago.

Maybe he didn't fit into their style of play?

He's a warm body and he likely won't play without more injuries.

Low risk, low reward, low problem

Replacement for Craig I expect. Would have thought the priority would have been a left back though.

Vaguely recall Carroll as a DM who can pass a bit. If so will allow Wing to push forward a bit more and hope we’ll start to see him get back to form as a result.

Franchise cancelled his contract in February due to Tom only getting limited opportunities. He last played at Chesterfield on New Years Day, guess he didn’t fit in with their new manager who was appointed in late September.

Let’s hope he gets a chance and doesn’t just make up the numbers like Bodin seems to be doing.

Just realised we'd run out of Toms where we used to have Holmes, McIntyre, Ince and Dele Bashiru

In 2010 Spurs fans were saying he had more potential than Harry Kane. Let's see if they're right.

He’s 32 so he’ll have to surge quickly.

He's currently won as many major trophies as Harry Kane.

It’s more true now than it was then.
Kane has exceeded his potential already whereas Carroll is a league 1 squad player with a huge amount of scope to do better….
