I don't remember any at Leeds or Sheff Wed but did our team get any sort of congratulatory reaction/ovations from opposing fans at away or home last season bearing in mind the records we broke etc...?

Just wondering.

QPR, the last game of the season after singing at each other all match they eventually just clapped towards the East stand and we returned the gesture.

They were superb towards us and the guy on the PA, with what he said etc, brought a tear to the eye.

It was then, for me, that promotion felt real.

Leicester gave us the usual football fanter that is at every game, during, but after i remember whilst we were outside celebrating, a few Leicester fans came and shook hands with Reading fans

I think the Burnley fans clapped us, too. Especially after Bobby's wonder goal and the injury of Leroy on the day.
They appreciated the fact a better beat them on the day - even when losing a main striker.

I had to stand outside the home end at Molineux while waiting for a lift. Every single Wolves fan I spoke to credited us as the best side to play them and felt we were up already.

As much as I hate them they were class.

We had a lot of Wednesday fans congratulating us before the game - I think during the game they were more intent on celebrating their own survival that had recently been guaranteed...and who can blame them.

I seem to recall Harps saying that the Preston fans applauded them off the pitch - he said he remembered it as we always lost there before and he could not believe how well we played - and that was only the 3rd game of the season after all

I work with a couple of Leicester STHs now. All say we were the best team they've played in years... (Which is weird, as were mundane a best at the Walkers)

Southampton have a reputation for always being kind and generous.

We'll really miss them.

Millwall too.

I hope the lower divisions appreciate their skills as much as we did.
