Golbourne joins Wycombe

On a months loan.

I hope Nicky Shorey is feeling fit and well!

Just heard that from a Wycombe fan myself.

There must be imminent signings soon,.....................there must.

You just have to be right, GC. I have been feeling pretty relaxed about the lack of signings, but to see two full backs depart in the space of one day (albeit one only on loan) has to cause concern about back-up. There must be at least one defender on his way here.

I can only hope so, part of me is really panicking about our lack of signings, then theres part of me knowing fully well that we have a man in the know at the helm, and that calms me down an awful lot! I am definitely not going to doubt out loud too much, as those who doubted Sir Steve last season got their comeuppance didn't they!?

coppell has been reiterating the lack of cover at the back,so to let two go without bringing anyone in would be very stupid.

And as we all know the club wouldn't do anything stupid....

With Makin leaving and Goldbourne going on loan it must mean Bikey is joining on loan imo.

Good move. A lot is expected of Scotty Golbourne and as good as Shorey is, in a couple of years he'll be given a run for his money.

I'm sure if necessary we'll have inserted a clause to allow us to recall him should we get injuries.

It may just mean that SC want's Scott to play every week so that he's match fit if he needs to be brought in.

Plus the more experience he gets the better - they've probably made sure he can be brought back quickly if required.

I believe month's loan = no recall (goalkeepers excepted).

I'm pretty sure if Shorey got injured that Hunt would cover for him anyway so it wouldn't really be a big problem.

Well that's it then, Bikey is on his way. Defence still looking thin though.

Maybe, but Hunt may struggle in the Premiership in that position. Positionally he isn't at his best there.

Personally I would put Convey there and put either Hunt or Ki-Hyeon on the left wing.
