Royals fans doing a runner?

by oldebiscuit » 20 Aug 2006 18:30

We've waited 135 years to debut in the top flight so it couldn't come soon enough, a high profile friendly, media hype, and finally the kick off, and what a game? spills, thrills and goals in front of a packed house. Well, it was for 85 minutes anyway. The thrills and spills continued but there was a steady stream heading for the exits from the 85th minute onwards. What is that all about please? Biggest day so far in our history and people leaving before the end. How does that make you feel as a player? what do they have to do to please you people? Applause at the end is the least we could give the boys. Enough ranting, but could anyone that left early please try and explain what was the rush to get away? And don't give any ballocks about catching a bus or train because they run late into the night. lor=red][/color] :?:

Some people leave early because they don't want to face a 1hr wait of getting out the ground. Some people lead busy lives so don't critisize them.

Some people have to leave early to get home in time for X-Factor. It's a real inconvienience having these 3pm kick offs don't you know

If the plastics want to leave let them, the sooner the better in my opinion... just as long as they keep out of my way as I don't pay to see their backs.

LOL @ those who left before half time to get in the food and beer queues

This has been done to death time and time again.

Typical response from those who leave early - It's my business why I leave early so sod off

Typical response from those who don't - 1. You must be a substandard human being if you don't want to stay until the end, you can't be a real fan etc...

Typical response from those who don't - 2. I don't care just get out of my f**king way.

Can we lock this thread now?

Maybe if the concourse wasnt adequate only for a ground a fifth of the size they wouldnt do it.

It's a fcuking joke that place. It's not like they are hiring tax paying staff for fcuks sake.

The very least they should do is have half time walk-around people selling snacks and also have those people stood in the concourse with beer barrels on their backs, a la Ascot etc.

Someone at RFC should go to Madison Square Gardens to see how service is done proper.

Well in the new year book it mentioned that if you left 10 minutes early for every game you would have missed 135 goals last season in the Premiership. You pays your money and you takes your choice their loss not mine.

With all the smokers in the West Stand now going outside, I found it relatively easy to pick up a coffee at half time without missing a second of wonderful football.

One of the objections I have to people leaving early is they cut across my view and they are not staying behind to cheer off the team .... but mostly their loss I feel

Why does anybody actually give as shit about this? As long as they do actually leave and don't loiter in front of me then I could care less to be honest. Don't you people have anything better to worry about than how other people choose to live their lives?

People can do what they like as far as i'm concerned except go to leave but then stand at the exit blocking my view.

This is the one thing the stewards should stop but don't|. I fear I'm Spartacus will be doing battle this year.
