Well he was asked if he felt he should have been considered to play for England and immediately said no and went on to imply that he did not see his elevated status as a premiership player as an opportunity to demand higher wages and move to a bigger club. He got a round of applause from the fans on the show for that statement and just came across as a really genuine guy. A real ambassador for the club.

Have you forgotten the 'humility' he showed not so long ago when he gave Lampard his uber-murking? And what about the interview with the EP last year when he said something along the lines of "you don't drop your best players, you don't see Barcelona dropping Ronaldinho do you?!"

I think you've given the answer in your question. It was a report in the Evening Post. Personally I'd describe the EP as a poor man's News of The World.
