by TFF » 04 Oct 2006 12:20

Royals line-up:
1 Graham Stack
2 Curtis Osano
3 John Halls
4 James Henry
5 Adam Bygrave
6 Andre Bikey
7 Glen Little
8 John Oster
9 Shane Long
10 Simon Church
11 Stephen Hunt

Substitutes: Alex McCarthy, Harrison Bayley, Julian Kelly, Pierre Joseph-Dubois, Nicholas Bignall.

I might go along but can't see kick off time (gates open at 5.30pm) on the OS.

Anyone know?

Yep, Henry and Oster starting in centre midfield. Bit strange as it lacks a holding player in there.

Was going to go down but I've got football training now so I won't be going.

Any news on the Spurs reserve team? Will they be putting out a team of players that, like Chelsea, even their mothers would struggle to recognise?

Their line up vs West Ham last week:

Cerny, Ifil, Daniels, McKenna, Lee, Dervite, Maghoma, Lewis, Barcham (Pekhart, 60), Dawkins (Livermore, 80), Ziegler. Subs: Hughton, Button, Davis.

Can't find a team for tonight this is all that is on their site:

Clive Allen has been suitably impressed with the impact made by summer signing Dorian Dervite on his introduction to the reserve team fold.

The 18-year-old - recruited from French side Lille during the close season - started his first game of the campaign against West Ham last week and marked the occasion with a goal. He will now be seeking a repeat performance when the reserves travel to Reading tonight.

From the spurs website:

Radek Cerny, Phil Ifil and Reto Ziegler are in the reserve squad for tonight's trip to Reading.

Development coach Clive Allen is expecting a tough test at the Madejski Stadium against a Reading side that has kicked off their Barclays Reserve League South campaign with three wins out of three.

Clive said: "Reading came into the league this season and whereas the teams we've played know everything about us, they just know we're reigning champions and will want to make their mark.

"It's an excellent game for us and we know we will need to be at our best."

Squad: Cerny, Forecast, Ifil, C Lee, Dervit, Hughton, McKenna, Lewis, Daniels, Davis, Ziegler, Maghoma, Pekhart, Livermore, Mtandari, Hutton.

Doubtful. Unless Spurs have their own channel as Chelsea do.

Went to the first reserve game of the season against Villa, and John Halls looked like he thought he was the best player on the pitch, by keeping the ball to himself and being very cocky, but then against Chelsea last week at aldershot he looked like he had found his ways and actually played a really good game of football. But even with him playing good football i doubt he will get into the first team unless there is a significant amount of injuries, but the will be gone next summer.

From spurs site

8mins: CLOSE. Henry played through Church, right channel of box, shot low across Cerny and inches wide of the far post.

11mins: Our first chance, Ziegler's corner met by Dervite, headed a yard wide.

17mins: Hunt floated free-kick from right channel into far post, Church free header, could only loop effort at Cerny.

18mins: Ziegler flicked McKenna's high ball into path of supporting Lewis, half-chance on, attempted lob well wide.

19mins: Our best move to date, McKenna slid pass into overlapping Ifil, superb low cross driven across the six-yard line begged for a touch from either Pekhart or Ziegler but neither got there.

20mins: SUB - SPURS. Hughton for injured Lee.

30mins: Three efforts at goal all stemming from initial free-kick against Stack in the box for fielding a back pass - Ziegler's initial free-kick was predictably blocked, McKenna's follow up blocked and then McKenna's volleyed arced just wide.
