What was the last player that you were gutted that left/sold

by readingbedding » 14 Nov 2006 17:19

Thinking that Kevin Doyle, or Sonko etc might leave next Summer really depresses me and then I don't like to think about it.

It got me thinking about the last person that I was unhappy about leaving Reading FC and I can't really think of one recently.

Caskey, I think.
But then probably peed off at him going to Notts County than Millwall, even though Millwall was a far better side back then.

I was gutted when Martin Williams left. I was gutted when Darren Caskey left. I was gutted when Dylan Kerr left. I was gutted that we let Carl Asaba go at a loss.

Curo.

He wasn't given a decent enough chance at Championship level before Pardew 'let' him leave on a free.

Igoe was also a favourite, as was Caskey.

Going back a little bit, I was gutted when Hislop and Osborn were sold.

Gilkes to Wolves didn't go down to well either!

1871 Royal Fozzy!

Yeah, the 6-8 goals a season average was a massive loss.

At the time, I was disappointed when Brebner and Asaba lost. They were two of the few good players from the TB/TB2 eras.

If the right bid came in, with the right terms for the player...
It happens.
