Discuss.

Why did Coppel pick him, he's no more than League 2 quality.

And yes i'm very happy with a point but he's terrible.

He was average, certainly wasn't poor today, did well enough, but I agree, he isn't a good enough long-term solution. Can only suggest Bikey has been shite in training.

He's nothing special, but he was the only remaining natural right full back. I'd rather have him there playing badly than play a marginally better defender (bikey and sodj) playing out of position

That was his best game in a Readig shirt. He does have some glaring weaknesses, obviously, but he also does some things exceptionally well.

Seemed to me he had a pretty good game. And don't even mention the freekick he conceeded at the end - that was down to Harper's sloppy pass.

Looked very strong in the air and produced an excellent overlapping run in the second half, followed by a great cross.

Agreed - lack of match-fitness and sharpness showed at times, but he diud a lot better than I feared he would and no glaring blunders.

I was going to start a DLC thread but I see this is already running.

I was gong to say initially I thought he was terrible but he battled on and was half decent.

He looks to me like a good player lacking in confidence.

I think he did good today.

He was by no means our worst player out there today - he had a steady game.

I thought DLC was good today and linked up with Little really well in the second half.

Lita was worse but I thought he had a tough job up front after Doyle went off.

Actually his worst moment went unremarked by the commentry. When Johnson clipped over the bar from the rigth side of the penalty area, if he had crossed Anichebe would have scored because the latter had just sprinted past a jogging DLC who didn't pace to catch up at all. That's where he's bad. He plays at one pace and it's relaxed to say the least. When he's in good positon, you can see his international quality. He's the coolest head around and very efficient.

Lita
Hahnemann
Harper
Sonko.

Little and Hunt failed to do their jobs imo - no real threat from either today as the final ball was toilet.

Sidwell was distinctly average.

Harsh on Shorey, Harps and Lita - agree that Marcus didn't cover himself in glory.

I don't think we had any awful or obviously brilliant players.

The whole team did very well today - played as a unit.

With Wiley reffing and on hearing DLC was in the starting line up I confess to being ever so slightly concerned about this one.DLC played his part in a fantastic defensive performance.Able deputy DLC it may seem.

I thought DLC did OK today. I was dreading it before we started and the effect it would have on Little. However DLC is a stand in and he did just that reasonably well. I thought he covered well and was surprisingly good in the air. Poor crosses when Little worked him into good positions though. Not the worst performer.

League 2, Do me a favour mate!!

He had a good game today, he gave the ball away once or twice but who didnt in that second half and Hahnemann will know he was at fault for their goal.

Some royals fan on here are so fickle, it annoys me no end!!

OK, that's a surprise.

I thought he did quite well. Not great, but solid. None of the mistakes of his game on Tuesday and played well in the defensive unit. Also, rarely beaten when I thought he would be.
