John Oster

superb this evening, showed great skill, fitness, and massive commitment. With the limited chances he has had could have quite easily been content with reserve team football, like John Halls. Give him a run in the first team i say, but at whose expense i dont know

John Oster in my opinion played his way into the first team today. If he's not too tired he showed the passion and desire that I like in a player and i'd like to see him given a chance at a start against Arsenal.

I'd like him on the left to be fair.

On his showing over the last few games, he has to be fighting Harps for a game. Whilst Harps is great, chasing down and harrying, he's not an attacking creative player and could do with the competition to keep him sharp.

I'd give Johnny a start on Sat.

He was good, but one too many touches so many times, when a cross was what we needed... give him and Gunnar a chance on saturday

I think your mistaking Oster for Gunnarsson.

Gunnarsson was the one that was utter class tonight.

I think we could say the same thing about Gunnarson, but the problem is, I don't think Steve Coppell will play either. Can't see Oster replacing Hunt or Little on either wing at the moment, but agreed the lad did well tonight.

I also think Gunnarasson played himself into the first team.

However this thread is about Oster. Who had an excellent game.

If he could stop giving the ball away so much he would be in the first team

Oster - best I have seen him play. However I think it's still the bench but he's pushing. Always looks so much better in a stretched game. He wasn't so good in the first 20 mins but was superb from that point forward. Good for coming on if we're chasing the game.

Think Oster has finally put his bad boy past behind him - great attitude, very impressed with him tonight. Would be cool to see Oster on the left - Gunnar in the middle. I just can't see Coppell dropping Hunt and Harper...

and I quote "I f*cking love Oster I do"

//Having said that, Gunnarsson (alwasy been me preferred middle man)was amazing tonight. Please Coppell, Bryn & Sidders in the middle on saturday

Gunnarsson proved to me tonight that he can take Sidwell's slot in midfield in/when he leaves.

The blokes work rate is incredible and showed again that he can attack aswell as defend.

My man of the match with Oster a close second.
