Fife As much as I like Coppell and think he is a good manager I think he could be a little more optimistic. I can't bear to think what he'd be like if we were in a relegation fight. Every interview he says no way Europe - effectively saying the team is too sh1t to cope, which is a bit harsh on the players and himself who have got to that position. He's a great manager but his ambition for Reading just seems to extend to the next game.
However maybe in his mind he considers Europe and just doesn't want the players to get carried away. I'm sure this point will get battered but it's my opinion - it's not like it's Oliver Holt's.

seahawk10 The reporters keep asking the same questions over and over again. I tend to focus on this message that SC keeps repeating:
'All we are about is winning the next game.'
'The only way we exist is by trying to win the next game. That is our mentality.'
'Europe is really not on our radar at the moment at all.'
That's a great message for the players. Stay focused, don't try to figure out who we need to beat and who we need to draw with in order to qualify. Leave that to the supporters on HNA.Just focus on the next game. Win the next game (no matter who it is against).
