Dave Kitson signs new deal

by Binfield Royal » 27 Mar 2007 14:25

2 more years according to club text so will run to end of 2010 season.

Just Sidwell left to sign then.

I'm surprised no one has started a Thread on Sidwells contract situation....

Would be interesting to see how far Kitson thinks he has left in football, having previously stated he planned to retire at 32/33.

Great news however.

This is very cushty for 2 reasons:

1) I think Kits gives us something extra and it is good he will be here for 3 more years

and

2) Me and my mate had a bet that Kits would be on his way in the summer, I said that he would stay ............. I'm going to enjoy that Yorkie 8)

Interview on 210 on way home this afternoon had him saying he's happy here, his wife is happy here, why should he see out his current contract just to go somewhere else for 5k or 10k extra a week. Good man. Bit of a dig at Sid or not??

I think he meant he'd be here at least another 3 years in total.

Thats another good signing for the club.

We just need to get Lita sorted out and Sid. They are the key men at the moment.

I really think we could have a real problem with Lita, I feel he may take the same stance as Sids, hes in the England set up now and maybe he may feel his future is at a so called bigger club, if we cant get him to sign by the summer we should ship him out

He's in the U21 set up - most of the squad are full Internationals.

He has a way to go before he's one of our 'top' stars.

If he demands stupid money then the club will do as they have done with Sids, and I hope Lita adopts the same attitude that Sids has on the pitch.

Depends if anyone comes a sniffing, a goalscorer is worth good money, we could offer an additional year and pay £30k a week for the extra, if he keeps scoring someone might come in and offer £5m for Lita.

Is all a game of risks in the end tho
